Doctoral Candidate, Textiles, Merchandising, & Interiors University of Georgia EDUCATION MS, Florida State University; BS University of South Carolina BIO Kristian Hogans is a doctoral candidate at the University of Georgia in the department of Textiles, Merchandising, and Interiors. She received her Bachelors of Science at the University of South Carolina and her Masters of Science at Florida State University. During her time at FSU, she conducted research on the thermoregulatory comfort of football uniforms, receiving support from the FSU football team and the American Society for Testing and Materials organization. RESEARCH INTERESTS Kristian Hogans engages in research that focuses on (re)defining, (re)imagining, and reconstructing fashion education. (Re)definition, (re)imagination, and reconstruction of clothing and textiles education involves sharing narratives of those forgotten and excluded. Exclusion of historically marginalized individuals and groups has created a limited perception of the fashion industry and the practices that represent it. Research interests include:
